The best method of storage for this delicate spice is to store in cool dry place and away from light or heat. Store in freezer for freshness.
Saffron Brewing Suggestions
- In a pestle and mortar gently crush a pinch of the strands with a very small amount of sea salt
- Then steep in 1/4 cup of boiling water.
- Cover and brew for 10-15 minutes.
- Once brewed it can be stored in fridge for 2-3 days
- add the concentrated liquid and any residues to rice, pilafs or curries.
